To improve the function of the reservoir, Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono planted 50 trees and restocked 10,000 fish seeds in the Jagakarsa Embung (Artificial Lake), South Jakarta. He explained the Jagakarsa Reservoir area has an area of around 8,000 m² which can hold 17,000 cubic meters of water. Hopefully, this reservoir would be useful, especially to prevent flooding during high rainfall in South Jakarta. Efforts are still being made to build other reservoirs to minimize the impact of the rainy season.
"So, this year, we'll build three reservoirs in Jakarta. One of them has woken up in Jagakarsa. There are only two more in progress. Besides collecting clean water needs, it is also used to prevent flooding," he explained.
